As you begin your journey as a Yardi Scholar, here are some resources to help you navigate UC Berkeley.

Advising

Program Manager of Yardi Scholarship Program

Advising comes in a variety of ways at UC Berkeley. Firstly, the Program Manager of the Yardi Scholarship Program is the person who advises you on all things Yardi Scholar-related, from which classes to take to cohort building programs, and responds to general inquiries to connect you to more resources. Contact the Program Manager of the Yardi Scholarship Program at yardischolars@berkeley.edu once you have accepted the Yardi Scholarship.

Academic Advisors

Besides your Yardi Scholarship Program Advisor, the most frequent way you will encounter advising is through Academic Advising.  Your academic advisors which can come directly with your major or within your college. For Yardi Scholars, the College of Engineering has Engineering Student Services where engineering students are assigned  by last name. For our Social Sciences Yardi Scholars, check out L&S Advising, in the College of Letters & Sciences. There you will find college advisors on your general education requirements as well as major advisors as well.

Berkeley Career Engagement

Career Educators, advisors that work in Berkeley’s Career Engagement department can help advise you on job, internship, resume/cover letters etc. This is a great resource if you are looking or thinking about getting a role on or off-campus.

Study Abroad

Study Abroad has study abroad advisors that help you with figuring out where you would like to go, what types of  funding are available, and making sure that your units can transfer when you are abroad.

You will notice as you continue your journey at Berkeley, you’ll apply to programs and other opportunities that will likely yield an advisor of some sort. Utilize these resources! Make sure to reach out early and often especially your academic advisors.
