Medhi is from Morocco. When not scrolling through eBooks or binging through chemistry documentaries, Mehdi is most likely found at the pool attending swim practice. The upbeat tech culture is a major reason Mehdi was attracted to UC Berkeley, where he aspires to fulfill his dream of implementing AI technologies in North African company systems.

Mia Zaragoza

Transfer | Major: Political Economy

Mia is a transfer student from Orange County, California and is excited about moving upstate to UC Berkeley. While in attendance, Mia hopes to continue her studies not only in Political Economy but in both German and music as a choir member. Hailing from Fullerton, where their city motto is “the education community”, she plans on continuing their long-lasting tradition of educational excellence by pursuing a career in the Department of Education. In Mia's free time she enjoys reading graphic novels, singing, embroidery, and spending time with her twin.

Natalie Scott

Natalie is a first-generation college student from San Diego. She hopes to study Mechanical Engineering at Berkeley to help find ways to combat climate change. While at Berkeley she also hopes to expand her knowledge and learn more about things she is passionate about such as women's rights, and expand her knowledge into areas she's never ventured to before. Outside of class, she loves to do arts and crafts, swim, and hang out with friends.

Paloma is from Southern California and is a proud first-gen transfer student. Paloma is a former foster youth, formerly incarcerated juvenile, and is very vocal about her experiences in both systems. In her spare time she enjoys being of service, reading political theory books and loves a great cup of coffee. After law school, Paloma hopes to work for a non-profit like The Marshall Project or Families Against Mandatory Minimums.
