Yvonne Guan is a first-year student planning to major in Political Economy. Raised in Canton and now living in Palos Verdes, Yvonne’s multicultural background shapes her passion for community building and economic justice. Yvonne also enjoys wandering museums, café-hopping, and shopping. Although moving to Berkeley marks a big transition, Yvonne is excited to meet new people, explore fresh ideas, and grow.

Transferring from Chabot Community College as a Mechanical Engineering major, Zachary Sy is a first-generation student with an interest in bio-medical research and technology. Zachary enjoys his time by reading comics, enjoying nature, and, of course, eating delicious food. He’s excited to embrace new experiences and take his educational journey to the next level.
