Maria Maeda is a first generation student majoring in Political Science on a Pre-Law path to become an Immigration Attorney. Maria's passion and interest in this field stems from a place of wanting to better her community and be their representation and voice for the people that have most shaped who she is. Maria also enjoys reading, trying new foods and coffee places, watching a movie, and shopping. Maria is eager to begin her journey at UC Berkeley and excited to learn more about herself, others, and the world.
